Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, medication distribution, and changing linens.
- Support patients with mobility issues using wheelchairs, walkers, and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary medical team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia State CNA License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor and a high attention to detail.
