Job Summary
As a CNA, you will be the heart of our care team, providing essential daily living assistance to our residents. You will help ensure our residents live with dignity, comfort, and respect while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Patient Hygiene: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Mobility Support: Help residents move around the facility safely, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and walking.
- Meal Assistance: Serve meals and assist residents with eating if necessary, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient care records and incident reports.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with residents, providing companionship and emotional support to enhance their quality of life.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all facility protocols and safety regulations to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and current Kentucky CNA Certification required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers.
- Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is highly preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull residents weighing up to 250 lbs; ability to stand for extended periods.
