Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, as well as assist patients with feeding when necessary.
- Document patient care services and changes in patient condition accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Administer medication as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician, following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment to prevent infection and ensure comfort.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
