Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ensure the highest level of comfort, safety, and dignity.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Ability to lift and move patients as required by the job description.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus.
