Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and light physical activities to maintain patient mobility.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to improve their quality of life.
- Ensure the patient's environment is clean, safe, and comfortable at all times.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification (or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, transfer, or assist patients of varying weights.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow medical instructions.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
