Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to Registered Nurses (RNs) and physicians immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Prepare patients for exams, treatments, or surgeries as directed by staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Massachusetts.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and comfort.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
