Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and document patient observations accurately.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to all facility protocols and infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, wheelchairs, or stretchers as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
