Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide compassionate personal care and emotional support to residents to ensure their dignity and comfort.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required by individual care plans.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with RNs and LPNs to implement and adjust care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for patient well-being.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
