Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic bedside care to patients as directed by nursing staff.
- Turn, reposition, and transfer patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the State of Wisconsin.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred for immediate hire.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Candidate must demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
