Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing personnel, following all safety guidelines.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during their hospital stay.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of Kentucky.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
