Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring from bed to wheelchair and ambulation.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with RNs and LPNs to ensure high-quality nursing care standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
