Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care plans and update medical records accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current, valid State of Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be up to date.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for immediate hire candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients of varying weights safely.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
