Responsibilities
- Perform daily living assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Document patient care activities and intake/output in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current, valid State of Michigan CNA license (or ability to obtain).
- CPR and BLS certification required (or willing to obtain).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
