Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Implement and document patient care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Administer medications and treatments as authorized by the nurse in charge.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Indiana CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job duties.
