Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and ambulation as directed by nursing staff.
- Document patient care plans, incidents, and changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is a plus but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients as needed.
