Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents and patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications as directed and documented according to strict state regulations.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Nebraska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) is required prior to start date.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus but not required.
