Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Observe patients for changes in physical or mental condition and report any concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse as required.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
