Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care plans, medication administration, and changes in patient condition accurately and timely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented work ethic.
