Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or assistive devices safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Document patient progress, care activities, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
