Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using wheelchairs, walkers, or hoyer lifts safely and efficiently.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff according to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress notes, and any incidents or accidents accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Administer medication as prescribed and directed by supervising nursing staff, ensuring proper dosage and documentation.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Arizona.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks required for patient care.
