Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Document daily care activities and patient updates accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Florida CNA License required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and lifting patients.
- Compassionate demeanor and a patient-first attitude.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
