Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses with wound care, mobility assistance, and feeding patients as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients, including changing linens and sanitizing equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to report changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care activities and medical information accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current and active Louisiana State CNA license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as necessary.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
