Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rates.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
- Support patients during procedures and operations as directed by nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Louisiana State CNA license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
