Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with ADLs: Help patients with eating, toileting, and transferring in and out of beds or chairs safely.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and care logs in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communication: Effectively communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising Registered Nurse (RN) and family members.
- Hygiene Assistance: Ensure patients remain clean and comfortable while preserving their dignity and privacy.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health, hospital, or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Training: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for home health visits.
