Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient rooms are clean, sanitized, and comfortable; assist with mobility and transfers.
- Communication: Report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations following established safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Washington State CNA License.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical assistance.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping the elderly and infirm population.
