Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations while preventing injury.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient care logs in compliance with facility policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and concerns to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and safety standards to prevent the spread of infections.
Qualifications
- Education: Current and valid Washington State CNA Certification (or equivalent state license).
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to treat patients with empathy and respect in a fast-paced environment.
