Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, ensuring patient dignity and comfort.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transferring them safely between beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
  • Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, behavior, or environment to the Charge Nurse.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
