Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active North Carolina CNA license required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
