Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients to ensure infection control standards are met.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent bedsores and ensure patient comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the state of Kentucky.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
