Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment and equipment.
- Administer prescribed medications as directed and document all treatments and observations accurately.
- Support patients and families with emotional support and education regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification (LSA) in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
