Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN under strict supervision.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) and care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of California (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
