Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and document vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety through proper body mechanics and assistance.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions, ensuring residents have a pleasant dining experience.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident rooms and common areas in compliance with health standards.
- Participate in facility recreational activities to foster social engagement and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or home health is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
