Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patients' physical and mental conditions to the nursing staff.
- Personal Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and maintain proper hygiene standards.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide updates on patient status.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities and any changes in condition in medical records.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to all safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and current Minnesota CNA license required.
- Certifications: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, push, and pull patients as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
