Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and ambulation as directed by the nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN/Physician within scope of practice.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse immediately.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Oregon CNA License required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients up to 250 lbs with assistance.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
