Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance to ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse or RN immediately.
- Assist with ambulation and mobility exercises for patients with limited mobility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff according to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California (CNA1/CNA2).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently during the shift.
- Must be able to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
