Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure maximum safety and comfort.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's condition, mood, or behavior to the RN or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Assist with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by licensed personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California State CNA License required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
