Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to nursing staff.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, with dignity and respect.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during the night shift to enhance their comfort and reduce anxiety.
- Document patient care plans, observations, and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nebraska (Nebraska Department of Health).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.
- Must be able to work flexible night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a diverse healthcare team.
