Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist licensed nurses with treatments, medications, and procedures according to established protocols.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs and stretchers safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required by the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols strictly.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) for extended shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for patient advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
