Responsibilities
- Patient Monitoring: Observe and report patient vital signs, changes in condition, and emotional status to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating to ensure maximum comfort and dignity.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Change bed linens, assist with toileting, and maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
- Medication Support: Provide medication reminders and assist with feeding tubes or IVs as directed by the nursing staff.
- Communication: Serve as the primary communication link between patients, families, and the care team.
- Documentation: Accurately complete patient charts and incident reports according to facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Oklahoma State CNA license required.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Soft Skills: Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
