Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and promptly.
  • Provide basic bedside care and support to patients, including ambulation, positioning, and turning.
  • Administer prescribed medications and document administration according to strict safety protocols.
  • Communicate changes in patient conditions or concerns to the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment to prevent infections and ensure patient well-being.
  • Support emotional needs of patients and families, providing a listening ear and compassionate care.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid California CNA License (State Tested Nurse Assistant) required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care facility, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift, turn, and move patients safely.
  • Compassionate nature with a high level of attention to detail and patient safety.
