About the Role:
As a CNA on the night shift, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of our residents during the evening and night hours. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, person-centered care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Health: Observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or response to treatment to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Medication Administration: Assist with medication distribution under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs in compliance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as part of patient care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
