Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide compassionate emotional support and companionship to patients during the night shift.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Maryland.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate nature with a patient-centered approach.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
