Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents during night hours.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team regarding patient changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA License.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible night shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
