Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, during the night shift.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed by the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Illinois CNA Certification (CNA I & II).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
