Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans utilizing the nursing process.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and intervene immediately in case of emergencies.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, treatment plans, and responses to care.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (FL or LA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing night shift team.
- Willingness to float to various units based on unit needs.
