Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring the highest level of dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities immediately.
- Assist with the transfer and ambulation of patients using proper body mechanics and mobility aids.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Document all care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure a safe and responsive environment.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State CNA Certification (Michigan).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for healthcare providers.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, up to 50 lbs, as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
