Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the nursing staff and physician.
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior, physical condition, or symptoms to the charge nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Minnesota required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to care.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
