Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
  • Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Respond promptly to patient call lights and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Nevada.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
