Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle and sterilize surgical equipment according to strict infection control protocols
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Document equipment usage and patient care activities accurately
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure seamless procedure flow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year recent operating room experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends
