Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately and timely.
- Provide personal care and comfort measures to residents to ensure their dignity and well-being.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Transport patients safely using wheelchairs or walkers as needed.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with dietary restrictions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine passion for helping the elderly and disabled.
